April Mondy is the oldest of the nine children in the Mondy family. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she moved to Helena-West Helena, Arkansas with the rest of her family in 1998. She graduated from high school in 2002 after being homeschooled through Christian Liberty Academy Satellite School. She has been doing radio for over 15 years. Aside from co-hosting the Morning Show with her sister Zipporah and her mom Belinda, she works full time at the station as the program director, producer, sales representative and executive administrative assistant.
April has had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Jamaica, Belize, and the Dominican Republic. She absolutely loves spending a portion of her summers with Kids Across America Kamp in Golden, Missouri. She’s been playing the piano since she was about 7 years old and she currently aspires to learn to play the violin and guitar (we’ll see if that actually happens). She loves traveling, reading, watching musicals, spending time with her family and friends, and laughing. April has a big heart for kids and she loves cheesecake and eating cookies.
